Ice

We have had a very exciting week investigating ice.  Outside we have worked with Mrs Parker to find out how we could get the animals out of the blocks of ice.  We have used a range of tools to find out which one is the most suitable.  We have also put water into Mrs Reid's freezer (in the school kitchen) to see how ice is made.

Mrs Johnson (our student teacher) has been teaching us all about Polar animals.  We have learnt which animals live in the Artic and how they are different to animals that live in the jungle. Mrs Johnson read us the story of "The Mitten".  We had great fun retelling the story and pretending  to be the animals underneath the duvet!
