In Literacy this week, we have begun to read ancient Greek myths and legends. The stories are very entertaining, many containing tales of gods and godesses not to mention the terrifying monsters! Mrs Leather read a myth called 'The Sun Chariot' which tells the story of Helios who had the important job of making sure the sun rose each morning by pulling it across the sky in his magnificent golden chariot. The ancient Greeks told myths to try and explain things that happened in nature for example, the sun appearing to move across the sky or thunder and lightning. We can't wait to learn more. So far this year, our 'Stars of the Week' have been Keeva and Corey. A big Well Done to you both!
