Welcome to Beech Class!

Beech Class (Year 2) is taught by Mrs Nicholson. Mrs Atkinson supports the class each day and also supervises lunches.

During the Summer Term of Year 2 pupils take part in Key Stage 1 statutory assessments (SATS) which assesses their of understanding of maths, reading, grammar, punctuation and spelling and writing. Daily reading of the book your child brings home and practice of times tables and weekly spellings is the best way you can support your child to do well - not just in their SATS - but across all subject areas.

Pupils in Beech Class continue to enjoy weekly Forest School sessions linked to the wider curriculum every Tuesday. We're very lucky to have our own school wood; the changing natural environment provides a wonderful space for your child to learn, explore and challenge themselves in a safe and familiar setting.
