Admission Policy – Nursery

Please contact our Academy Office for details about how to admit your child to Stakesby.   01947 820231

Alternatively, you can complete the Admission Form below and email, send or drop it off at the Academy Office.

We offer free 15-hour or 30 hour provision (eligible families only) with full flexibility which means that parents can opt for any combination of sessions during the week to suit their needs. We endeavour to meet parents’ preferred sessions but this is not always possible due to the complex nature of the task. Additional sessions can also be bought according to availability.

We offer full wrap-around care for Nursery children:

  • Breakfast Club runs from 7:45am
  • Tea Time Club runs until to 5:15pm
  • Nursery children can stay for lunch (or arrive for lunch), either bringing a packed lunch or having a school meal. There is a cost to cover supervision for all children.

Children receive free-funded places from the term following their third birthday, but usually we are able to admit children from their third birthday. Please contact the academy office for availability.

We offer ‘Stay & Play’ sessions for children and parents to ensure a smooth transition – please ask when you apply.

If there are insufficient places, we put children’s names on a waiting list and notify parents as spaces become available.

Allocation follows the main trust policy above with the exception that priority will be given to older children to ensure they have some time in nursery before they begin main school.

Please note that children living outside the normal school area who attend our nursery are not automatically entitled to, or guaranteed, a place in the main school when they become five.
