Elm class have got off to a flying start this year! We have come back well rested, free of all the winter coughs, colds and viruses and are raring to go!
This week, we have introduced our World War 2 topic. We looked at the timeline between the start and the end of the war, how it started and the people in charge that were involved. We also listened to the announcement by Neville Chamberlain to the British people, that Britain was at war. The children are very interested and can't wait to learn more!
In Computing, we are learning about Excel spreadsheets and their uses. We can already create a basic formula that allows us to add, subtract, multiply and divide 2 numbers.
We are learning about multiples and factors in maths at the moment. Our reasoning skills are being put to the test this week as we aim to explain our understanding and secure our learning.
There are 2 swimming sessions left this term before Ash class take their turn in the pool. We are making the most of them and enjoying our time there while some of us are learning new skills!
We are learning about Pointillism in Art with Mrs Mason and Gymnastics in PE with Mr Bates.
We are starting the new year as we mean to go on. Watch this space!
