A successful week for some of the children in Elm class this week. They entered into an athletics competition at the leisure centre with some children from year 6, against 8 primaries from the area and they won! With 220 points, they came back to school beaming. Well done to all of you!
We have been continuing the Alma work this week in the shape of a missing persons newspaper report of the child that entered the shop and didn't come out...........
The children have learnt the features of a newspaper report, how to 'front load' an article and how to make people want to read on.
In maths, we have been learning how to multiply by 2 and 3 digit numbers. The childrens' times tables are coming in very useful and we are hoping for a few more Tables Masters in the coming weeks!
The children are continuing their Metacognition work by practising their juggling. We have a few children that can now juggle with 3 balls!
In french, the children have been learning french words for their pets and in PE the children have been doing athletics. Their practise has certainly paid off this week!
Mrs Mason has been creating hand collages with Elm class this week in art. Look at this wonderful work!
