We’ve had such a busy start to the year and our learning is already well underway. Some highlights from our first couple of weeks in Ash class have been our great start to Tables Masters challenges. We are working on our own individual multiplication target and are becoming more skilled in our instant recall of facts. We have been problem solving in pairs and teams and have been using loads of resources to help us with this, like Numicon and Base Ten.

We conducted a really messy science investigation to simulate the journey of food through the digestive system. This helped us to plan and write our own adventure story about being swallowed and travelling through the human body. EUGH!!

It was exciting to take part in School’s Fitness Week- created by The Body Coach- Joe Wicks! We had so much fun taking part in a workout and designing healthy recipes #leanin15.

As well as all of this, we’ve been working hard on practising a new Bollywood dance routine with Hannah Barnett- Savage.

Friday night saw us receive our termly treat for gaining lots of stars and ticks. We enjoyed a pyjama party after school where we watched a movie, played board games, enjoyed a game of dodgeball (with Miss Saville and Mrs Nattriss) and ate lots of pizza and popcorn! We all had a fantastic time.
