This week has seen the start of play rehearsals and already the children are beginning to know their lines! Well done to you all for practising with your child, it makes such a difference due to the limited time we have in school and helps to make the children more confident in their performance.
In literacy this week we have been planning our own versions of the 'Three Little Pigs'.We are looking forward to reading the finished stories.These include the 'Three Big Gorillas', the 'Three Woodlice' and the 'Three Scampering Squirrels' to name but a few!!
In maths we have been using numicon to add to 20 and recognising and building teen numbers.The children are becoming increasingly independent and confident at recognising their number bonds.
We are now moving on to look at the names and properties of common 2D and 3D shapes.
