We have started writing spooky stories this week – we are currently planning the plot, setting and characters. We read a story together about a haunted house and absolutely loved it! (See above for our spooky picture!)

This week we had a visitor from Explore Judaism UK. We extended our knowledge about Judaism even further by learning all about the Jewish food laws. We identified Kosher foods and the Kosher symbol and even tasted some foods. We loved Challah bread!

In maths we have been learning how to use the column method when adding and subtracting large numbers.

Our ereaders arrived this week! We can’t wait to start using them!

Rhys is our new Pupil Rep (as voted for by the class) and India was our star of the week due to her positive attitude.

Over half of Ash class competed in the cross country event this week at Caedmon. All the children did really well – Olivia MT came 3rd out of 100 pupils! A huge well done to everyone, especially Ellie who had very achy legs the next day!
