This week, we are focusing on writing a spooky story. We have looked at a range of pictures, watched videos and listened to pieces of music for inspiration. Miss Saville wrote a piece that we analysed, looking at sentence structure, punctuation and vocabulary. We then used it to write our own version of a story introduction. Our next step is to write the middle section of our spooky stories.

We have been looking at strategies to help us with our mental multiplication and division this week. We have engaged in lots of problem solving and reasoning activities which have meant we can put our times tables knowledge into practice.

We have been exploring the statement 'love has no label' we used type drawing to create motivational pictures.

A huge 'well done' to the children who took part in the cross country competition earlier this week!

Congratulations to Sophie who received the ‘Stakesby Star of the week’ this week for her attentive and focused attitude in maths.
