Mrs Maud and myself must say a huge well done to all of Holly class on their interest, enthusiasm and behavior when visiting the library this week. We looked at signs of spring on our walk there, and were also lucky enough to see a new tree sculpture being created in Pannett Park. When we arrived, Mrs Young told us some lovely stories. We then looked at how to choose books that we might be interested in and scanned them out. We will be going back in a few weeks time to return our books and select new ones. Thank you to Mrs Young for organizing this event.
The children have been so excited that we have finally be allowed to uncover our class book! We read 'Where the Wild things Are" and were all so enthralled by this imaginative text! We talked about things we liked about the book (the illustrations, the monsters!) things we disliked (Max shouting at his mum, Max chasing his dog) and other things the book reminded us of (our dreams, The Gruffalo). We cannot wait to continue working on this wonderful book.
Well done to this week's Stakesby Star - James Emmerson!
