We have been excitedly getting ready for World Book Day by learning about Julia Donadson and reading lots of her lovely books.  Some of us made gruffalo (apple) crumble with Mrs Johnson.  In the playdough we have models of the gruffalo by adding lots of resources to make his purple prickles and orange eyes.  We read the story of the Gruffalo and also listened to it.

We have had a reading challenge competition for World Book Day.  Children were asked to bring in a photo of themselves reading in unusual places! Well done parents and carers on your creativity! These fabulous entries will be displayed in our new library shortly - why not go and take a peek!

We have been talking about our favourite books and recorded these in our books.

Super Squirrels have been talking about the different things we do throughout the day, and have sequenced pictures to support this learning.

Thankfully, Spring is finally on its way! We have noticed some spring flowers outside and decided to do some observational paintings of daffodils.

We also had a visit from some budding authors in Year 6. We listened really carefully to the books that they read to us! Thank you for sharing your wonderful literature with us!
