Year 6 have been working incredibly hard lately. We've been writing our own information texts about a variety of subjects including: scootering, football, Little Mix, elephants, Paris, New York, Taylor Swift and many more. These should all be finished next week so check back to see the final versions.
As part of our topic on Christmas around the world, we've been looking at the season of advent and how different countries prepare. We've made our own traditional advent calendars in the style of those first created in Germany hundreds of years ago. Check out the finished ones below (and check back next week to see the rest!)
We've also been improving our growth mindsets with a series of metacognition lessons. We have been learning origami as a new skill and today, Jude led the session - teaching us all how to make an aerodynamic plane. We then took these to the playground to test them out:
