It's Friday!
We've still been working very hard as this half-term comes to a close.
In Literacy, we have been working with a video from The Literacy Shed called Alma.
"Alma is a little girl who ventures into town in the snow. She is drawn to a shop window by a familiar looking doll. She enters the shop... what will happen when she goes inside?"
Mrs Tillson has never the seen the children so eager to write! They are coming up with lots of ideas about Alma and her story, and their observational skills are being tested daily. The children are producing some amazing writing.
We have been completing our assessments this week, but we have still found time for Maths 10 in 10, Grammar Hammer, Read, Write, Inc. spellings, Tables Masters and practising our juggling skills.
We have finished our Contemporary Dancing for this term, but we've been warming up for cross-country in PE this week. Should be fun when we get back!
In Computing, we've been looking at keeping ourselves safe online and how to report anything that upsets or frightens us. We have created a set of class rules that we have all signed in order to help us remember them.
Olivia C and Billy were our Stakesby Superstars this week. Well done to you both!
Happy half-term from Elm class!
