This week we have finally got to pick some of our vegetables I between the rain showers. We got to pick some of the carrots and they looked fantastic. The gardens are all doing really well and we hope to try the lettuces next. Please have a look at the gardens when you get time.

We have also begun our topic 'Under the sea'. We have started to look at the different animals that we can find under the sea ready for our trip to the Sealife Centre on Wednesday. We were amazed at how many different sea creatures the children knew about!

We also shared the book 'The fish who could wish'. All the children enjoyed thinking what they would wish for. There were lots of different wishes and the Wise owl wrote their wishes out to put on display.

Well done to Anneka James and Maxwell Borrett for getting Our Stakesby Stars certificates.

Next week we have a very busy week for the Acorn children. Tuesday morning is our Sports Day and Race for Life. Wednesday is our class trip to Scarborough Sealife Centre.
