Our talk homework this week about the ending of 'The Enormous Turnip' has led to some fantastic talk partner work as we shared our ideas. These ideas included the turnip turning into a rocket and blasting to the moon and the old man winning a medal and trophy in a turnip growing competition.

In maths we have been learning to use and understand the mathematical language of more than, less than, most and least. We are now using reasoning skills to explain how we would identify the set that had the most objects in from a mixed set.

We are busy rehearsing for our Harvest celebration which is focusing on foods which are the colours of the rainbow. Our colour is indigo (dark purple) and in circle time the children discussed the fruits and vegetables they knew.We would be grateful if you could practise the words sent home on Thursday 29th September with your child to ensure a confident performance.
