Our Stakesby Forest School ethos is to encourage our voracious learners to develop their own unique learning style through a holistic child led learning approach.

  • Shelter building with natural woodland resources and tarpaulin sheets.
  • Make a grass trumpet
  • Learn to tie knots
  • Create some wild art
  • Design and construct a mud slide
  • Catch a raindrop on your tongue
  • Find a magic spot
  • Take an outdoor tree shower
  • Learn to use a flint and steel
  • Toast marshmallows
  • Build a campfire, prepare food and cook it.
  • Make a mud pie.

Puppet Workshop 20.09.2017

The whole school enjoyed a puppet workshop with David today. We learned puppet techniques like how to speak without moving our mouths and how to hold and move our puppets. We also watched a short puppet show. We all thought it was brilliant!
