This week we have been lucky enough to take part in a puppet workshop. The children thoroughly enjoyed acting out the stories of 'Little Red Riding Hood' and 'The Three Little Pigs' using puppets, inventing their own actions and voices.

In maths this week we have been using the language of equal to,  more than, less than, most and least. The children having been practically solving problems using apparatus such as 'Show me a number more than 15', 'Show me a number equal to 12 add 3 more', Show me a number less than 10'.

In literacy we have begun to write our new endings to the 'Magic Porridge Pot'.Well done to everyone who did the talk homework it really helped the children with their ideas! If you haven't had chance yet please find a few minutes to discuss your childs ideas with them.

Marilyn's idea we all liked and was used in our shared writing:

'The little girl said to the porridge pot " Drink little pot drink" and the pot drank up all the porridge and everyone lived happily ever after!'
