This week we have been busy preparing for our Harvest Festival. The school theme is 'all the colours of the rainbow' and our class is responsible for orange. In class, we have been learning about a special kind of poem called a Cinquain. We have written Cinquain poems about different kinds of orange coloured produce and are now rehearsing in order to perform them for our Harvest Festival.

We are also taking part in the Can Can Appeal which involves collecting cans of food for those less fortunate than ourselves. The Maple Class staff were particularly moved by Tommi's efforts to donate as many cans as he could. Tommi even spent some of his pocket money to buy extra cans. It is for this amazing act of kindness and generosity that we have awarded Tommi the 'Star of the Week' certificate. Well Done Tommi!
